On 3/23/2021 at 1842, Companies 5 and 1 along with Medic 5 were dispatched to the area of Signboard Rd and Burruss Ln for the reported Motor Vehicle Accident. With limited information, Squad 1 (w/3), Engine 1 (w/2), Medic 5 and Battalion 1 all responded. Medic 5 arrived on the scene first with a 2 vehicle accident, reporting heavy damage to both vehicles. Shortly after arriving, Medic 5 requested an additional medic unit to the scene and for Company 1 units to expedite to assist in removing a critical patient from the vehicle. Upon the arrival of Squad 1 and Battalion 1, man power was sent to the vehicle to remove the patient. Battalion 1 held the command until the arrival of Chief 10. During the incident, an additional medic unit was requested to the scene. Engine 1 provided blocking and man power while the Squad mitigated leaks and secured the vehicles. A total of 2 patients were transported to the nearest Trauma Facility by ground and an additional patient refused transport on the scene. E1 operated on the scene until the vehicles were removed from the roadway.
