Super Bowl Sunday was a steady day for The #1 Volunteeers, answering calls for service throughout the day. At 1508 hrs, Engine 2 w/6 and Squad 1 w/4 were sent to the 114 mm on I-95 South for a crash with entrapment. Chief 61 arrived to find a vehicle that had rolled and now up-right with two patients entrapped. E-2 stablized the vehicle, then as the Squad arrived both crews went to work on the roof. Engine 1 w/4 reported to Center Dr. and set up a LZ for MED-FLIGHT. One pateint was ground transported and the other was taken by air. Both patients were sent to VCU Medcal Center. All units cleared within 45 minutes.

The department's Super Bowl Party was interupted atleast once a quarter for emergency incidents. Good job to the 18 volunteers that were staffing.

Units: Engine 1, Squad 1, Engine 2, Engine 6, Medic 114, Medic 228
