Just before dinner the Engine, Wagon, Squad and Utility all rolled out at 1703 hr for a first due residential fire. Eng. 1 w/6 arrived with smoke showing on all sides. The crew quickly stretched attack lines and extinguished a fire near the furnace. The fire was ignited by improper ignition of the furnace. BG apparatus cleared in about an hour.
