Around 1800 hrs, the duty crew noticed a thick black column of smoke just southwest of the town. Wagon 1 located a large scrap pile of tires and other automotive parts burning in the rear of a junkyard on Devils Three Jump Rd. The HAZMAT Officer was requested and two tankers. The fire was extinghuished and DEQ was left to handle the rest.
