Engine 1 w/6 and the Tower w/4 responded to a 1st due residential fire on VIP JON Rd. The small kitchen fire originated from a cooking stove and gave the occupants quite a scare until the volunteers from Bowling Green and Ladysmith arrived. The fire was quickly extinguished and the stove was removed from the home. No extension was found and the truck company ventilated the house with exhaust fans. All apparatus cleared within a hour.
