By BG Volunteers
April 28, 2009

While returning from an Interstate crash, Engine 1 rolled up on a residential fire on Rogers Clark Blvd. With the rear porch well involved, the engine crew made a quick knock on the interior fire and a vent hole was cut above the fire rooms. Ventilation of the roof had to be taken care of quickly due to the THREE layers of ceiling that made it nearly impossible for the interior crews to hook. The hard working Volunteers also had to contend with over 90 degree outside temperatures. The fire was under control within 20 minutes and is still under investigation.

Units: Engine 1, Wagon 1, Squad 1, Engine 2, Squad 2, Tanker 5, Engine 8, Medic 110
