While training in Carmel Church, Engine 2 was alerted to a crash at the 105 mm S I-95. The crew arrived to find a SUV that had overturned and five victims trapped inside. Eng. 2 officer, Capt. Stout, immediately requested the #1 Heavy Rescue Squad, an additional Engine to assist and three more Medic units. Wagon 1 w/3 and Squad 1 w/4, arrived and assisted with removal and treatment of patients until the additional ambulances arrived. AirCare 2 landed on the Interstate and transported the most critical patient. Three additional ambulances transported the other four patients. After all patients were transported the Interstate was re-opened and all units returned to service.
