| In a joint effort between the Bowling Green Volunteers and the local business community, BGVFD.com is finally a reality! The dedicated volunteers of Company 1 could not have accomplished this without the continued support of our faithful local businesses. Please visit our sponsors page for information on our supporters.
Bowling Green Volunteer Fire Department is located in the heart of Caroline, Virginia and is designated as Company 1. They have proudly served the citizens of Caroline County since 1947. The department currently maintains a fleet of two engines, a heavy rescue squad, and a 105' tower along with other support vehicles.
Company 1 is the busiest department in Caroline County. Units respond to over 1000 fire and EMS calls annually. Their district is a diverse one, with major thoroughfares passing through it as well as multiple industrial hazards spread throughout. Bowling Green also has a large neighbor with Army installation, Fort A.P. Hill, bordering a large part of the district. The Bowling Green Volunteers also spend a considerable amount of time in the other parts of the county, providing service to the other surrounding districts.
