Engine Company Goes First Due On A Second Due House Fire

At 07:25 hours the Box Alarm was transmitted for Newtow Rd bringing Engine 1 with 3 personnel. Communication were getting reports of smoke and fire from the 2nd story. Medic 110 arrived on the scene to find a single family dwelling reporting smoke showing. Engine 1 arrived seconds later and laid a line down the driveway from Newtown Rd to find the same. Engine 1's crew stretched an 1" 3/4 attack line through the charlie side to find a working fire on division two. Engine 1 got a quick knock on the fire and began opening up and hydraulic ventilation. Engine 1 operated for approximately 2 hours before returning to service.
