Crash on Colonial Rd. with Extrication

Just before 2000 hrs, Engine 1 w/ 5 and Medic 1 were sent to Colonial Rd. for a vehicle accident. Additional information was received that confirmed a patient entrapped. Wagon 1 w/ 5, Engine 8 w/ 4, Squad 2 w/4 and Medic 5 added to the call. Engine 1 arrived with a single vehicle into a tree with one pinned and two patients on the ground. The engine company went to work on stabilization and special called for a recovery vehicle to assist and possibly move the vehicle away from the tree. Medic 1 transported both self extricated patients and Air-Care was called for the third patient. Wagon 1 set up the LZ while E-8 and Sq-2 assisted with the extensive extrication. The entrapped driver was freed from the vehicle and transported by Air-Care. The cause of the incident is under investigation.
