| Just before midnight Engine 1 was alerted for trees down blocking Sparta Rd. Just before responding the incident was upgraded to an overturned vehicle. Engine 1 w/3 arrived to find one victim entangled in brush and debris. Little access could be made to reach the sole occupant and it appeared he had sustained serious injuries, so a medivac was alerted along with Engine 8. The #1 Rescue w/5 arrived and attached the winch as well as deployed the Rescue 42 Jacks to the undercarraige of the pickup. Within a few minutes the vehicle was stablilized. The Engine crew began removing four trees in order to gain full access to the patient. Patient care was transferred to Medic 115 once he was removed from the wooded area. The patient was then transported to the LZ. |
