First Due House Fire

At 02:34 hours Engine 1 was dispatched for a residential structure fire at on Fredericksburg Turnpike . Engine 1 arrived on scene and advised E.C.C that they had a single story residential with smoke showing from the eves on sides Bravo, Charlie, and Delta. The crew advanced the 200' front attack line through side Alpha to gain access to the attic and commenced getting a knock on the fire. Fort AP Hill Chief 7 arrived and established the command. Engine 4 arrived and opened up near the fire area for ventilation and for better access to fire. Engine 1's officer was assigned the Fire Attack Group. Squad 1 & Engine 2 was assigned to open up the Alpha Quadrant to get another access area for the fire, while Engine 1's crew continued to knock the fire down from their vantage point. Engine 1 then repositioned to the Delta Quadrant and finished putting out the fire. Engine 4 deployed salvage covers over the family's furniture to help protect it from water damage. The fire was contained mostly to the Delta area and around the electrical panel.
