At 18:00 hours Engine 1 was alerted for an auto accident with people trapped and one vehicle on fire in the area of Tidewater Trail and Hicks Landing Road. The Engine responded with a total of 4 Personnel, Medic 110 was first to arrive to find two vehicles, one off the roadway overturned and fully engulfed into a tree, and one other vehicle upright in the roadway with one trapped. Engine 1 then arrived and completed stabilization efforts then removed two doors and also a dash raise which completed the extrication. Two patients were transported to Mary Washington with minor injuries. Engine 1 operated on scene for approximately an hour before returning to service.
