Deputy Alerts Occupant, Asleep in Her Burning Home

Engine 1 and Tower 1 were alerted for a residential fire on Coolwater Dr. Caroline County Sherriff's units arrived and reported fire through the roof and one subject inside. The single occupant was awakened by the deputy and was able to escape unharmed. Engine 2 and Engine 1 arrived and began fire attack operations. The Tower conducted primary search and then assisted the engine companies with fire control. Much of the home was severely damaged but many personal items were salvaged. The cause is still under investigation.
