July 6, 2010

Caroline and Hanover units responded to a brush fire at the meadow event park. Initial reports stated the fire was one quarter of an acre but first arriving units from Hanover discovered that the fire had spread and had now burned over several acres. A fast attack with brush units and drafting from a local pond allowed for the fire to be quickly contained. Several structures including a barn with horses were in the path of the fire. Five acres burned before the fire was extinguished.

Units: Chief 1, Chief 3, Engine 1, Brush 1, Engine 2, Brush 2, Engine 5, Brush 5, Brush 5-1.
Mutual Aid: Hanover Tanker 4, Hanover FR 4, Battalion 3, Hanover Brush 4, Hanover Division Chief 677
