Farming Combine Ignites Causing Large Brush Fire

Early afternoon on June 21st Caroline County fire and rescue units were dispatched to a to a vehicle fire on Reedy Mill Rd. Arriving units found a combine fully involved in the roadway. The fire had spread to nearby fields causing several acres to quickly burn. Due to the dry conditions, the fire quickly spread to approximatley 25 to 30 acres before it could be extinguished.

Units: Engine 1, Wagon 1, Brush 1, Engine 2, Brush 2, Brush 3, Brush 4, Tanker 5, Tanker 6, Brush 6, Medic 2, Medic 1, and Forestry Dept. Units.
Mutual Aid: Hanover Engine 5, Brush 5, Battalion 1
